had an amazin stay at sankence lodge! the elegant house has a beautiful dining room and the breakfast was superb, especially the fresh fruit salad! really comfy bed and the owner was super welcoming, even had fans in the room for the hot nights. loved the quietness, thick curtains kept out the light, and the bath and shower were excellent. plus, those little affectionate dogs were a sweet touch!

Elegant house, beautiful dining room, superb breakfast (especially the fresh fruit salad), comfy bed, owner welcoming and solicitous (eg providing a sheet so I could ditch the duvet on such a hot night, and fans in the room). Room quiet, with excellent thick curtains to keep out the morning light. Bath and shower excellent (and even a bathrobe). Two lovely little affectionate dogs to fuss over too, perfect!

The stay was a true delight, with charming hosts who created a welcoming environment. Breakfasts were generous and varied (those fresh fruit salads were a highlight! ) amidst a lovely garden setting.
The room decoration felt a tad cluttered at times, which might distract from the beautiful ambiance.

The Deluxe Double Room was super cozy with a comfy bed and elegant decor that made it feel like a real getaway. I loved how quiet it was, perfect for some peace after a long day.
